You'd think with a long weekend I would have a billion pictures to share but I was pretty sick and didn't feel like playing with my camera. Fortunately, I'm feeling much better now. It was an eventful weekend with bonfires, car washes and a few games of tennis. Yesterday, I had my hair and makeup trial which was definitely the highlight of the weekend. I'd love to share photos of it but Brett wants to be completely surprised. I guess I'll have to keep those pictures to myself for now. Hope you had a great weekend!
Memorial Day Weekend is the start of summer or at least it feels like it. It's the start of beach days and bbqs. The start of bonfires at the cabin. How could you not love this weekend? We're fortunate enough to have a 4 day weekend so we're heading up to the cabin to relax and soak in some sun. Hope you have a lovely holiday!
One of the perks at work is that every month, the music department brings in a band and has them perform a few songs for us. Yesterday, Nicole Atkins (one of my favorites singers) played up on our roof at work. She was inspiring as always. Here's a video from her latest album.
I bought these two dresses back in March with hopes that I could wear them for my sisters wedding and my other sisters graduation. Unfortunately, they are too big and don't fit me right. I was really disappointed because I really like the pattern and thought they were really comfortable. I'm now selling them in my ebay store. Let me know if you are interested or if you have any questions!
Here are the wedding invitations I designed for my sister who is getting married in less than a month on Nantucket Island. These were fun to make and Meg and her fiance were super easy clients. If only they were all that easy! Speaking of wedding invitations, I am excited to announce that my shop has reopened. New designs coming soon.
A few months ago, I did a post on the beautiful handmade bags made by HOI BO. Yesterday, I received a nice email from Toronto Standard saying they created a video for their "Meet the Artist" series. The process looks so intense and it makes me want one of their bags even more.
Speaking of Nantucket, these nautical rope bracelets remind me of the ones we wore all summer when we were little. My sisters and I would each buy one and then we wouldn't take it off for as long as we were there. It always left a huge tan line. Might have to pick me up one these and for only $15! Found via Lauren Oneill.
This past weekend was the most amazing, family-filled weekend I've had in a long time. The surprise was a success - my mom and sister were completely stunned! We celebrated my little sister's graduation, played numerous games of corn hole and celebrated Mother's Day with the world's number one Mom. I was really sad to leave and already miss everyone so much.*Side note: I think we were all inspired by the Royal Wedding this weekend as you can tell by all the different hats. (Hopefully my sister's won't kill me for putting up these pictures.)
Since my little sis is graduating from college this weekend (sniff, sniff) AND it's Mother's Day weekend, I decided to hop on a plane and surprise them in good ol' North Carolina. I'm so ready to soak up some rays and relax on the beach. Happy Friday y'all! I'll be back on Monday with some fun pictures as always. Enjoy!
